Abstract
A sampling scheme has been developed whereby tests on, say, six appliances could provide evidence that a high percentage of appliances in production were within the prescribed EM emission limits. Now popularly known as the 80/80 rule, it ensures that 80% of appliances in production were in compliance with a confidence level of 80%. Another scheme is based on the binomial distribution. This scheme is sampling by attributes in which a number of items are tested against a given limit and either pass or fail
