Abstract
Over the years propagation experimenters have developed several, mostly digital techniques which have been of great benefit in cheaply and quickly improving the usefulness of receivers designed to gather propagation data on terrestrial and satellite microwave and millimetric wave experiments. The author looks at the use of: phase locked loop control voltage memories; frequency locked servos; comb-stepped local oscillators; and double duty amplifier chains
