Abstract :
A near-IR reconfigurable transmissive/reflective metamaterial film has been presented. It consists of a doubly-periodic array of sub-wavelength resonators composed of a layer of an anisotropic LC sandwiched between two silver nanoplates. Full-wave analysis of the GA-optimized design predicted a transmittance difference of 98.6% by tuning the LC response at a wavelength of 1.1 mum.
