Abstract
MIMO techniques induce a virtual extension of the antenna aperture, which results in lower MDV compared to conventional radar systems. Future work will include high-fidelity I/Q data simulations and experimental data collections to validate that the performance benefits of MIMO radar observed in the ideal clutter covariance simulations presented in this paper can be achieved in stressing real-world operating environments.
