Abstract :
In this paper the problem of plane wave scattering by a periodic grating slab waveguide is investigated by a rigorous integral equation method utilizing essentially the entire domain method of moments. The electric field integral equation is employed with unknown function the electric field on the grating´s domain and is subsequently solved by applying entire domain Galerkin´s techniques. The proposed analysis provides high numerical stability and controllable accuracy, while all the involved computations are analytically carried out. The computed results exhibit superior accuracy and efficiency compared with those derived by applying different methods. The grating structure´s efficient operation as a narrow band filter is investigated.
