Abstract :
Recently, overlay transmission access paradigm in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) has gained a special attention, for its promising results in improving the overall spectral efficiency. The main contribution of this work is in introducing a novel modified version of the existing overlay transmission technique in CRNs. Our technique overcomes some of the overlay drawbacks and at the same time improves the performance of the primary and secondary systems.
