Abstract :
The results of experimental investigation and theoretical analysis of interaction processes of different type of oscillations in the barrel-shaped open resonators (BORs) are presented. All experiments were made in the four-millimeter wave range. We used mechanically retunable BOR design with a longitudinally narrow slot. As a result, frequency ranges for interacting modes TEM and TE were defined and the behavior of Q-factor of modes was studied in range of interactions
