Abstract :
Describes the design and measured performances of an extremely compact circularly polarised waveguide element/OMT which has an in-line configuration compatible with the typical requirements of feed array geometry. An example is presented which utilises this waveguide element in a circularly polarised flat plate array antenna for TVRO applications. A radiating element that utilises a septum polariser has been successfully implemented in a circularly polarised flat plate array antenna for DBS applications
