Abstract :
The application of blackboard architectures to control problems, along with associated issues is discussed. Issues of time scales, real-time responsiveness, and hierarchical control are considered, along with, two control paradigms that are being used in conjunction with blackboard systems: the cognitive-servo approach and the hierarchical-controller approach
