Abstract :
The electrical properties of the lightly cured organopolysiloxane gel with excellent viscoelastic properties have been studied. The influences of the distillation fraction on conductivity, initial discharge voltage and the breakdown strength of the gel are discussed. The distillates collected at different temperatures are analyzed as well. The voids formed in the curing process not only influence the inρ-T semi-logarithmic line but also reduce the initial discharge voltage. The integrity of the gel structure is destroyed by the cyclic partial discharge and thus, cause the breakdown strength to decline
