  • Abstract
The only form of generalization of experimental data on pulse breakdown in liquids now is empiric dependencies adaption. This paper is both an attempt at explanation of some dependencies and an attempt to clarify factors that determine discharge initiation. In submicrosecond range one can consider existing bubbles. So prebreakdown time lag and electrical strength of liquids are determined by factors that influence discharge initiation
