Abstract
The dam is one of the most important parts of facilities of hydraulic power station. The safety of the dam directly affect the people´s live and property. The tremendous thrust and pressure of the river, lake and sea make the dam produced micro-moving and vibration. Although the dam seemed to stand firm, it is possible for the dam would be landslip because of the pressure for long time. It will lead economic losses and misfortune for people. So the dam should be measured and monitored on real time. The paper introduce a measure system which include CCD (charge coupled device)image sensor, microprocessor based system and industrial controlling computer system. The system detects displacement of dam through CCD image sensor, the data processing and communication is done by single chip. The industrial controlling computer can monitor, record and store the status of the dam automatically. The data communication between single chip system and industrial controlling computer is performed by RS-485 agreement.
