Abstract
This paper presents a new topology for a single-phase AC/DC power converter. This converter offers advantageous features such as inherent power factor correction (PFC), electrically isolated output and high efficiency. Its structure consists of a diode bridge followed by a DC/DC converter with high frequency transformer and new nondissipative snubber circuits. Analysis of operation and remarks on the duty cycle are presented. Simulation results confirm the validity of theoretical study and the converter´s performances
