Abstract
In order to investigate the seismic performance for a mega steel structure, a model with a scale of 1:35 is adopted. Through the shaking table test, the model of isolated, prototype and energy dissipation structure under different earthquakes of 7 degree is discussed. Base on the test results, natural frequency, acceleration response, layers shear response, layers displacement angle and displacement response of model are analyzed and compared. The test results show that seismic performance and safety can be improved with isolated measure for irregular plane structure.
