Abstract
This paper is based on the author´s experience in developing and organizing more than 30 short courses in higher continuing education for professionals in the electronics industry in China. High profiled international instructors gave these technical courses. The subjects of these courses cover the fields from international standards to laws and regulations, IC packaging to manufacturing, and from management to research and development. The process of pretraining development and promotion, on-training organization, and post-training evaluation is presented. Emphasis is placed on the key steps in inviting international experts to conduct top level training courses; attracting people to take the courses; helping the people get the most from the courses; and making profit from the courses. It is concluded that individuals and companies are greatly benefited from taking or holding these technical courses. A typical CALL FOR PARTICIPATION is shown in the appendix.
