Abstract
It is now possible to install in a motor vehicle a low cost computer system with a large memory housed in quite an insignificant black box. The authors examine to what extent, if provided with the necessary sensors, can such a system log data of the vehicle´s position so that an accurate map can subsequently be drawn of the vehicle´s route? A successful route logger of this kind if it did not deter thieves might well provide sufficient evidence to convict them
