Abstract
Aim of this paper is to carry on a systematic analysis of the unwanted electromagnetic emissions of a typical span of an overhead three phase power line when operated by a broadband communication power line (BPL) system. This is done by considering different scenarios of the presence of the ground plane and of the metallic poles (or towers) at the end of the span. The used numerical technique, the method of moments, allows one to evaluate also the induced voltages at the termination of the line when an external electromagnetic wave impinges the line. This allows the evaluation of the induced noise voltage.
