  • Abstract
The attitude and orbit control subsystem (AOCS) provides the spacecraft with the means to point the spacecraft optical reference axis accurately to the Sun, to control the roll angle around the Sun pointing axis and to perform orbital manoeuvres, and to generate measurements via telemetry to ground. The design of a controller for a spacecraft with features which have not previously had to be considered in the control loop design has been described. The problems which this generated have been touched on and the design of a viable controller described
