Abstract
In this study, a methodology based on network matrices is used to assign parcels of the power flow in tie lines to buses of distinct areas. This type of assignment allows both the identification of buses with the greatest influence on the power interchange, and the charging of every bus in these areas for the use of specific transmission lines. From these results, it is also possible to determine control actions to alleviate power flow in interchange lines. In this paper a linear approach is proposed for this control action. Numerical results obtained with two IEEE test systems illustrate the features of the proposed methodology.
