Abstract
Three years honours B.Eng. degree courses are still very popular with Electronic and Electrical Engineering students. Swansea University offer mainly option courses in the final year along with a major (student chosen) project. One of the courses is called `Distributed Control and Integrated Communications´. As with other courses it is a 48 unit (lectures) courses, with 24 being on integrated communications. Satellite communication systems need to be met within this twenty-four unit course. The author outlines the satellite systems content of this course. This covers radio path propagation, space dynamics, disk antenna gain and satellite service prediction
