Abstract
With the emergence of artificial neural networks (ANNs), special purpose computers referred to as neurocomputers are employed for achieving very high performance for ANNs. The paper reviews the design aspects for neurocomputers. An architectural comparison of neurocomputers with DSP is also carried out. A number of technologies are examined for the implementation of neurocomputers
