  • Abstract
Poverty is a complicated social construction, for which almost every country has to pay a surprisingly high price. Yet a lot of shortcomings and limitations do exist in the traditional way of analysis of poverty policy and aid-the -poor practices. Here, as a new way, Computational Simulation Technology (CST) is put forward to solve the problem. The necessity and the possibility of the application of CST to theoretical analysis of poverty is elaborated, then a specific example of micro-level simulation and macro-level manifestation is used to analyze the poor group and to explain the real application process of CST. Also, a possible application future and some special problems that may occur are dealt with in the end.
