Abstract :
The installation of large telecontrol schemes for the remote control of distribution networks can minimise the effects of faults. In order to achieve remote operation of 11 kV overhead networks to improve reliability to customers, an actuator with some form of energy store to operate pole-mounted disconnectors must be designed.
