Abstract
The coil-loaded wire antenna is numerically analyzed. Specifically, Pocklington´s integral equation with a more accurate expression for the electric field on the surface of a coil is formulated. Good agreement between the numerical and measured current distribution and input impedance was obtained for different numbers of turns in the coil. The application of the integral equation to an arbitrary wire-antenna structure is almost straightforward. Therefore, the proposed method is useful for the analysis and design of a coil-loaded wire antenna.<>
