Abstract :
As the atmospheric degradation of the fog image is low contrast and the blurred scene, which has serious impact on the transport system and the application of outdoor vision systems. In order to deal with the details information of fog image, a method for improving image definition based on image segmentation and image enhancement technologies is presented. First of all, in accordance with the characteristics of the grayscale distribution of images, the method finds the non-sky region using regional growth method, and then only in this region POSHE algorithm is used to improve the definition of scene in fog image. The experimental results show that the method can effectively improve the image of degradation in fog and improve image definition.
