  • Abstract
The development of structure and architecture is both difficult and essential. It is the foundation of successful design and implementation and yet it is given scant attention. The paper presents CADRAT-Computer Assisted Design, Relationship Analysis Tool. CADRAT is a tool for structuring and clustering anything. Two particular methods are used. N2 Clustering and Sequencing, the first to develop systems architecture, and the second to understand relationships within that architecture. Each method operates independently; both complement each other. The tool and the methods fill a vital gap particularly at the beginning of projects where design is often perfunctory. The architectural options, and their great importance to the outcome of projects, demands a professional approach to such activities. CADRAT, in the hands of an experienced system architect, offers that approach
