Abstract
The modern motor vehicle contains an increasing number of electronic control systems. The efficient performance of these control systems relies upon the maintenance of agreed electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission and susceptibility levels within both the vehicle and the control systems. EMC susceptibility and emission levels within motor vehicle electronic control and communications systems can only be reduced and maintained if all the systems are electrically earth bonded to a common earth platform, normally considered to be the vehicle chassis. To ensure that bonds have been installed correctly and bond resistance test set should be used to measure the bond resistance.<>
