  • Abstract
In order to identify traffic state of road section and provide decision support for traffic management, a method was proposed for road section traffic state identification based on vague sets. The traffic state decision matrix was constructed, and then the identification steps for road section traffic state were given in detail. Then the knowledge acquisition method of regional road network traffic state was proposed based on vague sets and group decision-making. The time-space evolution pattern of regional traffic state could obtain through knowledge acquisition, and the bottleneck links also could identify. Numerical results of a case study testified to the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
