Abstract :
A systematic method for the diagnosis and reduction of conducted noise emissions is described. A device for determining whether the differential- or the common-mode component of conducted noise is dominant is described. This information is used to determine which element of the filter should be changed to effect a reduction in the total emission. The use of the method to modify a power-supply filter is described.<>
