  • Abstract
An application of an efficient moment-method analysis to the case of a center-fed, dual-disk microstrip antenna is presented. The essence of this analysis is a special choice of the basis functions for the current density on the radiators, which takes into account edge and feed singularities. The invoking of special terms for these singularities can reduce the number of moments to a minimum, and thus reduces the computing time needed by an order of magnitude. The singularity-adapted moment method can be most useful for the problem considered, and, as a first step, calculated and measured results for the center-fed case with in =1 are shown. The present moment-method analysis provides a fast convergent solution, with only six current coefficients (2 edge, 2 cavity, and 2 feed). The two-resonance behavior of the dual-disk is observed, in good agreement with measured results.<>
