Abstract :
A successive approximation analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion algorithm based on the switched-currents technique is proposed. The conversion algorithm can be realized using a CMOS circuit with an operational amplifier, (op amp), a current comparator, several capacitors, and switches. The algorithm requires three steps per bit conversion, and the resulting digital code is insensitive to component mismatches
