Abstract
This papers investigates three methods for computing the loss of orthogonality of the OVSF (Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor) codes over multipath channels. The methods presented in this paper range from analytical approximations to detailed Monte Carlo simulations. SINR estimates produced by the three methods are within 0.25 dB of each other for a variety of channels.
