Abstract :
Measured mutual coupling results for two X-band rectangular EMCP (electromagnetically coupled patch) antennas are reported. Results for radiating edge (E-plane) coupling are shown for a single patch and for the cases when the EMCP is operating in the wideband region and the high gain region. Results for nonradiating edge (H-plane) coupling are shown. It is seen that high gain EMCP coupling via the radiating edges have the strongest coupling while the same antennas coupling via the nonradiating edges have the weakest coupling.<>
