Abstract
The triangular patch moment method solution, developed by S.M. Rao et al. (1982) is extended to better handle curved bodies. In the case where an object of curvature is of interest, the use of flat facets creates unnecessary man-made discretization errors in the solution. Such errors can be important, for example, in near-field calculations (electromagnetic compatibility, antenna impedance, etc.) n the observation point is on or close to the object surface, such that effects of surface roughness are more easily seen. Parametrically defined curved patches are used in place of flat facets, with specifically designed basis functions for subdomains which now contain surface curvature. Numerical results are presented.<>
