Abstract
This paper mainly introduced the basic design plan of taking technology of GIS used for heating pipelines district heating in Urumqi. It elaborates in detail the critical technology involving the system structure design, page planning, function planning, data organization, and the choice of GIS platform. Thus the theory and technical bases were provided to the further development of software and hardware in this paper. Simultaneously, the important instruction of technique also has been provided to district heating system.
