Abstract :
This paper introduces the application of electronic design automation (EDA) technology on the professional teaching for electronic information engineering. A signal generator based on FPGA is designed with various kinds of EDA tools including PROTEL, SOPC builder and NiosII, and using VHDL to accomplish the direct digital frequency synthesize (DDS) and the interfaces of the system for example. The practicability and convenience of using EDA technology is described, and the results show that it can inspire the positive factor of the students to deepen the comprehension and cognition.
