Abstract :
The variety of encoding schemes in the modern logistics industry slows down the pace of supply chain. EPC which provides a better solution to supply chain adopts a set of identifiers to stand for manufacturers and their products. This article has analyzed many kinds of coding schemes in details and carried out transformation between other encoding schemes and EPC. A code transformation system based on VB.net is implemented. As an example the transformation between EAN-128 and EPC-96 has been achieved. The system can also inquire the product´s name, specification, producing area, date and so on. It quickens the goods circulation and speeds up the pace of supply chain.
