  • Abstract
The compressed air systems represent plot expressive of energy consumption of an industrial plant. However, the use and inadequate maintenance cause reduction in the overall performance featuring a constant source of waste. Thus, this work is directed to the development and proof of techniques to analyze the energy efficiency of compressed air systems. The analysis will be conducted in the compressor installed in the motors systems laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at UFU. Within this main focus, the activities developed and presented herein contemplate issues related to the conservation of energy, presentation of the prototype, methods of diagnosis energy, and finally, a case study obtained from the prototype with its economic analysis of investments.
