  • Abstract
    This paper presents an electronic ballast for a fluorescent lamp. Some new ideas for an electronic ballast from a 12V are analyzed and tested experimentally. The key feature of the circuit topology is the application of a class D inverter with a resonant circuit. Also, one single magnetic component (a transformer with leakage inductance) is used. A new and cheap idea is implemented to control the lamp. The design and performance of this proposed circuit are described in this paper
