Abstract :
50-GHz-spaced, 32-channel, 10-Gb/s transmission in the zero-dispersion region over 80/spl times/80 km of 1.55-/spl mu/m dispersion-shifted fiber was successfully conducted by employing distributed Raman amplification. This paper demonstrates a feasibility of dense WDM systems in zero-dispersion region.
