Abstract :
The interactive nature of different aspects of power system design and the need for fast and reliable solutions to the design problems require that the available techniques must be the subject of continuous development. The author describes a simulation program based on user-defined functions which has been extended to cover control and modelling functions associated with special loads, network elements and indeed any function where signals from one part of the system are used to produce actions in another. This more general and extended form of the conventional stability program has been termed Power System Dynamic Simulation-PSYDAS
