Abstract
In this paper, an eigen-beamforming (E-BF) technology combined with power allocation is proposed to improve the performance of spatial multiplexing (SM) system in the presence of spatial fading correlation. This hybrid scheme requires only knowledge of the transmit correlation matrix and does not necessitate frequent updates. A simple closed-form expression for power allocation is derived. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method
