  • Abstract
Current industrial networks rely heavily on the carrier sense multiple access collision detection (CSMA/CD) network access technique. Such access schemes are classified as stochastic, due to the inability to directly assign a time for the transmission of data traffic between sender and receiver equipment. A deterministic network structure is introduced that overcomes the unpredictable nature of CSMA/CD networks. The network is based on the ring topology and is of a robust design
