Abstract :
Modern naval weapons systems are greatly dependent upon precise information about the ocean environment in which they operate, in order to achieve the highest level of performance. This paper describes the contribution of the Naval Oceanography Program to naval operations and offers a view of new support services planned for the Fleet.
