Abstract :
The T-11 is a single chip implementation of the PDP-11 architecture. The processor supports both static and dynamic memories and through the use of a programmable mode register that is loaded into the processor at power-up the T-11 can be configured to operate in a variety of modes. With a small amount of additional logic the signals from the T-11 can be de-multiplexed and formed into a bus structure compatible with Motorola 6800/68000 series devices so that externally a simple synchronous bus system can be used to connect devices to the T-11 but internally the processor executes standard PDP-11 code. This was the design philosophy adopted by LSI Automation for the development of a range of Eurocard controllers based on the T-11
