Abstract :
Based on the existing algorithms of vehicle reference speeds for ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), an improved self-adaptive algorithm is investigated. The vehicle deceleration is estimated at the end of each control cycle, and the reference speeds during the next cycle is calculated according to the estimated value of deceleration. The code of this self-adaptive algorithm is written and tested as part of the self-developed ECU (Electronic Control Unit) of ABS through road tests. Test results show that this algorithm of reference speeds is valid and can meet the requirement of ABS control.
