Authentication and Authorization Service for X-SIGMA System

Nowadays, there are many kinds of ongoing research projects on fusion technology field, like BT, NT, ET and IT. With active progress on each project, they generate unprecedented volumes of data and require fairly large computing resources. To manage the huge amount of data we developed X-SIGMA system. The X-SIGMA system manages data using its metadata stored in related sites over grid environments. Since the system involves user access issue to context data and metadata through services in or across the sites, security could be the most crucial aspects in X-SIGMA system. This paper will focus on access control aspect of the security mechanism for X-SIGMA system which is designed to manage user access so that can protect data from banned users.
