Abstract :
The article proposes novel software for traffic simulation. Traffic flow is simulated by allowing individual vehicles to move along a highway in a realistic manner. The vehicle movements are based on a fuzzy knowledge based model of highway driver behavior that contains an extensive set of rules covering all aspects of highway driving, including car following, braking, discretionary and mandatory lane changing. Results show that the simulations based on the proposed technique closely resembles the real world traffic flow
