Abstract :
We design a component based grid architecture on Globus. The system can be partitioned into two parts: a component support Grid environment, and a distributed user access gateway. The component support environment is composed of component container and basic component support services. Component container provides component run environment and manages the lifecycle of components, supplies component location service, component action service, component copy service, and component security and access control service, etc. The user access gateway offer user interface to access components, and provide component deploy tools for component providers. This architecture introduces RBAC technology to Globus to manage the user right for developing, deploying and making use of grid application components, makes the whole grid environment more secure and more usable.
