Abstract :
Taking activated carbon, tourmaline, NSUL-1, UERW-1 for the test object, we have a study on specific adsorption of different absorption materials. The study shows the influence of the material quantity, pH, adsorption equilibrium time on the removal of nickel in wastewater. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of the adsorption materials with different conditions is different. For the wastewater with nickel ion concentration of 100mg/L, compared with the same quantity of the materials (30g/L), UERW-1 had the best treatment efficiency, removal rate reaching 99.8%; the most applicable pH of the four materials are 7, that is the neutrality; tourmaline has the highest absorption rate, and its adsorption equilibrium time is about 1 hour with the removal rate of 62%. To conclude, different absorption materials have different treatment efficiency in various kinds of conditions with its own property and advantages. Choosing the suitable material based on its property in the practical application can achieve the best effect.
